A short introduction to the engineer, manager, teacher, and parent behind this site.
Hi, I'm Guy Alster. A software engineer turned engineering manager and a lifelong tech enthusiast. I've spent years coding, solving tough problems, and leading teams to build products that make a difference. I love how engineering mixes logic and creativity, and I'm all about building great teams with passion and purpose.
At home, I'm a husband and dad to three awesome kids who keep life lively and full of curiosity. Our dog, Nuget, adds a bit of fun and chaos to the mix. When I'm not working or spending time with my family, you'll likely find me at the piano, playing music that's been my escape since I was a kid, or diving into a good book: fiction, non-fiction, or something technical.
“I respect humility, common sense, and the courage to question flawed assumptions.”
This site is my space to share what I've learned about software engineering, leadership, computer science, math, books, and anything else that sparks my interest. I'm always learning and growing, and I hope my posts inspire you to do the same.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm glad you're here.
